Blizzard Slams U.S. Northeast, Causes Travel Havoc

Heavy snow and strong winds have hit the east coast of the United States.

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued blizzard warnings along the coast from Maine down to New Jersey.

Up to 60 centimeters of snow is predicted for New York City. Hundreds of flights have been cancelled across the region.

The air travel nightmare was made worse when passenger train service between New York City and Boston was cancelled.
