MONDAY, March 8:

Afghanistan: Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad visits Kabul (NOTE: This visit was reported postponed).

Iran: Tehran hosts the 17th International Conference on Central Asia & Caucasus (Trend).

World: International Women's Day.



TUESDAY, March 9:

Armenia: Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian visits Paris (to March 11).

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Former Bosnian Vice President Ejup Ganic expected to appear in court in London.

Russia: Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt visit Moscow.

Georgia: A high-level delegation from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly visits Tbilisi (to March 10).



WEDNESDAY, March 10:

Afghanistan/Pakistan: Afghan President Hamid Karzai begins a two-day visit to Islamabad.

Armenia
: A high-level delegation from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly visits Yerevan (to March 13).

Azerbaijan: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visits Baku.

Kyrgyzstan: U.S. Central Command chief David Petraeus visits Bishkek (Reuters).

OSCE: Miklos Haraszti, the OSCE's Representative on Freedom of the Media, finishes his second three-year term at the office.

Russia
: Moscow hosts the 2nd Russia and CIS summit on combatting corruption.

Russia: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits India (to March 12).

Armenia: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visits Yerevan.


SATURDAY, March 13:

Azerbaijan: A high-level delegation from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly visits Baku (to March 16).


SUNDAY, March 14:

Russia: Local and regional elections held in 75 subjects of the Russian Federation, including elections for eight regional legislatures.
