The Week Ahead is a detailed listing of key events of the coming week affecting RFE/RL's broadcast region.

MONDAY, October 4:

Azerbaijan: Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group conduct field assessment mission in the territories around Nagorno-Karabakh (to October 14).

Belarus: Political situation in Belarus to be discussed at a Council of Europe NGO conference (to October 6).

EU/Azerbaijan: The next EU-Azerbaijan plenary meeting on the Association Agreement opens in Brussels (to October 5).


Russia/Ukraine: Ukrainian-Russian Economic Forum, with participation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych, takes place in Gelendzhik, Russia.
