Czech Prime Minister Pledges Action After Hack On Government
Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka announced measures to improve his country's cyberdefenses, a day after the Czech Foreign Ministry said that a group apparently backed by a foreign power had hacked thousands of its senior officials' e-mails -- and that the attack was similar to that mounted on the Democratic Party in the United States in 2016. U.S. intelligence services blamed the 2016 attack on Russia, but Sobotka declined to comment on who he thought was responsible for hacking the Czech ministry. (RFE/RL)
