Iranians React To Judiciary's Warning

Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani said today that Iran's judiciary has enough evidence against the “leaders of sedition.” This statement met with strong reactions from several Radio Farda listeners.

A Radio Farda website viewer comments, “We are now witnessing a regime going down; such threats are its last resorts.”

Another viewer addresses the Judiciary Chief saying, “What you call 'sedition' is the Iranian people’s movement for their rights…this movement has no leader that you can threaten, Iranian people themselves are its leaders.”

“The fact that Larijani calls them as ‘leaders of sedition’ before presenting any proofs is a testament to his lie,” adds another viewer.

Radio Farda aired interviews with experts on Iran’s Green Movement reflecting on its impact now that six months have passed since its advent:

A Paris-based academic says that the Iranian people’s movement is the only all-embracing movement after the 1979 Revolution, as it includes people of at least three generations belonging to all social strata.

A former Interior Ministry official maintains that one of the most significant outcomes of this movement is its impact on international diplomacy: It has made the West more decisive in supporting Iranian people rather than the Iranian establishment.
