Iran's Olympic champion Sohrab Moradi broke weightlifting's longest standing world record in the men's 94-kilogram class at the Asian Games in Jakarta on August 25.
Moradi, 29, hoisted 189-kilograms in the competition's opening discipline to better the snatch record set at 188 kilos in 1999 by a Greek weightlifter.
Moradi already owned the marks for the clean and jerk (233 kilograms) and total weight (417 kilograms) in the men's light heavyweight division.
