Trump Says US Still Has Potential Targets In Iran
US President Donald Trump said that American military operations against Iran may not be over, suggesting the United States could still target additional sites if necessary.
In an interview with journalist Sharyl Attkisson broadcast on May 10, Trump was asked whether combat operations involving Iran had concluded.
"No, I didn't say that," Trump said. "I said they were defeated, but that doesn't mean they're done. We could go in for another two weeks and hit every single target."
Trump added that US and Israeli strikes had already hit "probably 70 percent" of the intended targets.
"We have other targets that we could conceivably hit," he said. "But even if we don't, it will take years for them to rebuild."
The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the war between Tehran and Washington.
Trump also addressed Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles, saying the United States was monitoring the sites closely.
"We have it under surveillance," he said, adding that US space-based monitoring capabilities were tracking activity around the facilities.
Iran has repeatedly rejected proposals that would require it to transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium to the United States.
On May 10, Iranian state media said that Tehran had submitted a response to the latest US proposal to end the war, but details were not announced.
Iran Halts Strikes Amid Trump Cease-Fire Remarks
Iran has said it is halting its military operations against Israel.
The announcement follows multiple waves of strikes between Iran and Israel and comes shortly after US President Donald Trump stated that Iran and Israel were "looking to do an immediate cease-fire."
Iranian media citied the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which serves as Iran's joint military command, as adding that any further attacks, including those in southern Lebanon, will be met with "much more severe and crushing" retaliation.
Israel Says US Military 'Coordinated' On Intercepting Iranian Missiles
A spokesperson for the Israeli military said that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) had "coordinated" with Israel on defense and "participated" in intercepting missiles fired by Iran at Israel on June 7.
Speaking at a press conference in Tel Aviv on June 8, Israeli Army spokeswoman Efi Dufferin said that the cooperation between the two allied countries was in the "defense" sector.
A US defense official had previously stressed that his country was not involved in Israel's bombing operations in Iran on June 8.
An unnamed senior Israeli officer reportedly said on June 8 that Israel's attacks on Iran "were carried out without any American assistance" and that the United States only helped Israel defend itself and intercepted one of the 11 missiles that Iran fired on June 7.
The source added that Israeli Army Commander Eyal Zamir spoke with CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper "three times" in the past 24 hours, and that missile defense systems are on standby.
The officer also reported the presence of a delegation of Israeli military personnel in the United States, whose trip apparently began before Iran's missile attacks on Israel.
Dufferin also said on June 8 that Iran had violated the two-month cease-fire by firing missiles on June 7, which "may indicate the inability of Iranian officials to sign an agreement with the United States, and they violated the cease-fire to buy time."
Israel, Iran Looking For 'Immediate Cease-Fire,' Trump Says
In a new post on his social media platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump wrote that both sides, Israel and Iran, are "looking to do an immediate cease-fire."
He said that final peace talks with Tehran are under way but warned they could be disrupted by "ignorance or stupidity."
Trump added that a US naval blockade will remain in place "until a final deal is reached."
Trump Urges Iran, Israel To 'Stop Shooting'
US President Donald Trump has urged Iran and Israel to de-escalate tensions as the two countries have exchanged air strikes over the past 24 hours.
Writing on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said simply: "Israel and Iran must immediately stop 'shooting.'"
Trump had previously warned against the resumption of retaliatory attacks, telling an Axios reporter on June 7 that he planned to tell Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from retaliating against an Iranian missile barrage.
Israel Reports 'Large-Scale Strike' On Iran Defense Systems
The Israeli military said it had completed "a large-scale strike" on strategic defense systems in Iran.
"Dozens of Air Force fighter jets, guided by Military Intelligence, completed a short while ago an extensive strike against strategic defense systems of the Iranian terror regime," the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) said in a post on X on June 8.
"Recently, defense systems were deployed across Iran to restore the regime’s capabilities degraded during Operation Roaring Lion," the IDF said, adding that "the strike led to the dismantling of these systems."
Iran Launches Missiles Toward Israel, IDF Says
Israel says Iran launched missiles toward the Israeli territory "a short while ago."
"Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a post on X on the morning of June 8.
The IDF urged the public to follow safety directives, enter protected spaces when alerted, and stay there until further notice.
Shortly after, the IDF said in a separate post that it had identified a second wave of missiles launched from Iran.
The IDF also confirmed that its Air Force struck several targets in the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, southwestern Iran, on June 8.
Iran has launched multiple waves of missiles toward Israel since the evening of June 7, while the Israeli military said early on June 8 that it struck Iranian regime sites in retaliation, as the fragile cease-fire in the Middle East appeared to be breaking down.
Israel Reports Incoming Missile From Yemen
The Israeli military on June 8 said it was working to intercept a missile launched from Yemen, where the Iran-allied Houthi rebels operate.
The Houthi rebels, who in March said they were joining the Middle East war in support of Tehran, have previously fired missiles toward Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) wrote on Telegram that it "has identified the launch of a missile from Yemen toward Israeli territory, aerial defense systems are operating to intercept the threat."
"The IDF remains on high alert and is fully prepared to continue operations across all arenas against those who threaten the State of Israel," it added.
Earlier in the morning, the Israeli military said its forces targeted Iranian regime sites early in retaliation for Tehran's latest attacks on Israel, as the wobbly cease-fire in the Middle East again appeared to be in danger.

Analyst Says Israeli Strikes Highlight Deep Divide Over Iran Threat
WASHINGTON -- Luke Coffey, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute focusing on national security, said the latest escalation between Iran and Israel “perhaps is the clearest indication yet that we are nowhere close to a long-lasting peace settlement with Iran.”
“It is also a reminder that Israel will do whatever it believes is necessary to defend its national interests, even if that means going against the reported wishes of the US president,” he told RFE/RL.
Trump -- who was spending the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey -- is understood to have called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on June 7 to urge him not to respond to Iran's attack.
Senior administration officials told reporters that the US president believed he had persuaded the Israeli leader to hold off on retaliating against Iran after its missile attacks on Israel.
The White House did not respond to requests for comment on the latest strikes or whether they were carried out in coordination with the US.
Coffey told RFE/RL that the situation "underscores that the different facets of Iran’s influence across the Middle East cannot be compartmentalized or viewed in isolation."
"In the eyes of the Israelis, the situation with Hezbollah in Lebanon is understandably linked to the broader challenge posed by Iran," he said.
IRGC Says It Attacks 'Terrorist' Bases In Iraqi Kurdistan
Iran's hard-line Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) targeted what it called "terrorist" bases in Iraqi Kurdistan, Iranian state media reported on June 8.
"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has targeted the headquarters of terrorist groups in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq," Iran's IRNA news agency wrote on Telegram.
Tehran has accused armed Iranian-Kurdish parties -- which have established camps in Iraq's Kurdistan region -- of attempting to overthrow the Iranian regime and of working with Western and Israeli interests.
Tehran has repeatedly struck the Kurdish groups, although their posts and camps had largely been evacuated since the start of the US-Israeli war with Iran beginning on February 28.
Rumors have occasionally arisen that the Iranian-Kurdish exile groups were planning to mount an armed incursion into Iran, but those reports have proved to be false.
Iranian-Kurdish groups, along based in nearby regions, generally operate separately from the US-allied Iraqi-Kurdish groups.
