Kyrgyz Police Detain Two Of Four Escapees From Pretrial Detention

BISHKEK -- Authorities in Kyrgyzstan say they have detained two of four suspects who escaped from pretrial custody on November 27.

The Kyrgyz Interior Ministry said on November 28 that murder suspect Ramil Bazarkulov and robbery suspect Bakyt Dildeshov were detained overnight by Bishkek police and placed back in custody.

Two other detainees who escaped -- murder suspect Kairat Janbotoev and Bagtiat Achyldurdyiev, a Turkmen citizen suspected of robbery -- remained at large.

The four escaped from pretrial detention in the Central Asian country's northern Chui region early on November 27.
