Britain is hosting talks aimed at recovering Ukrainian assets thought to have been looted under regime of Ukraine’s deposed President Viktor Yanukovych.

The two-day talks, which began on April 29, are co-chaired by U.K. Home Secretary Theresa May and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

Also attending is Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, prosecutors, and representatives from financial centers and international organizations.

The talks were organized by the Ukraine Forum on Asset Recovery, an international group led by Britain and the United States that says that "there is no impunity for those who carry out such illegal actions."

Holder pledged that the United States would lead the effort, saying the group members are determined "to support Ukrainian leaders and citizens as they combat corruption and strive to ensure the stability, the independence, and the national sovereignty of a strong and free Ukraine."
