Reports from northwestern Pakistan say a bomb has killed seven members of a pro-government militia in the Orakzai tribal area.
Officials said a roadside bomb exploded near the militiamen's vehicle in the village of Hassanzo.
The men were traveling to the garrison town of Kohat.
Senior Orakzai administration official Mehmood Hasan said 13 people were also wounded in the bombing.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes as representatives of political and religious parties are meeting in Islamabad to discuss an offer of peace talks from the Pakistani Taliban.
