On August 2, a small piece of metal debris found washed up on a beach on Reunion was taken into police custody. A flaperon, which help pilots control an aircraft in flight, will be analyzed to determine if the debris came from Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which disappeared without a trace 16 months ago with 239 passengers and crew on board.
