In the latest Majlis podcast we look at some of the challenges new Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov faces, particularly in light of his predecessor's turbulent last weeks in office.

Muhammad Tahir, RFE/RL's media relations manager, moderated the discussion.

Timur Toktonaliev, the Kyrgyzstan editor for the Institute of War and Peace Reporting, took part in the Majlis from Bishkek. Joining the discussion from Washington was Catherine Putz, who is a managing editor at The Diplomat magazine and also the author of many articles about Central Asia. I'm simply addicted to Kyrgyzstan’s politics, so I couldn’t resist saying a few things also.
