Srebrenica Victims Prepared For Funerals, 22 Years After The Massacre
Every year, the remains of newly identified victims of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre are interned at the memorial cemetery in nearby Potocari on July 11 -- the anniversary of the killings. This year, 71 coffins were buried. Some 6,504 bodies have so far been exhumed from mass graves and reburied at the site. Bosnian Serb forces killed more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys in the biggest mass killing in Europe since World War II. (Photos by Midhat Poturovic, RFE/RL's Balkan Service)
