Shah's Son Weighs In On Revolution Anniversary

Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former Shah of Iran, spoke to Radio Farda two days before the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution which deposed his father. Pahlavi announced that he is "one hundred percent" behind Iran's Green Movement, stating that, as opposed to 1979, the opposition knows want it wants -- not just what it does not want. Pahlavi also called on the security forces to join with the opposition to achieve a non-violent political transition: "Thirty years ago, the army didn’t interfere. Therefore the transition took place with a little bloodshed."

Baha'is Arrested

Baha'i spokesperson Diane Ala'i told Persian media outlets that Iranian security forces have arrested six Bahai's in Tehran yesterday, one day before the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. The latest arrests fit a recent pattern of Baha'i detentions coinciding with anti-government protests.
