Erdogan Steps Up Attacks On Dutch
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stepped up his verbal attacks on the Netherlands, suggesting they were responsible for the 1995 Srebrenica massacre. The massacre of 8,000 Bosnian Muslims was actually carried out by Bosnian Serb forces. Speaking a day before the Dutch general election, Erdogan also said a Dutch apology would not be enough to end the diplomatic row between Ankara and The Hague. Turkey is involved in a row with the Netherlands and Germany after Turkish ministers were not permitted to stage rallies with diaspora Turks on their territory. (Reuters)
