Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon have signed several agreements after holding talks in Dushanbe on May 5.
The two Central Asian leaders told journalists that nine agreements had been signed during their meetings.
The documents include agreements on bilateral cooperation in such sectors as transportation, tourism, culture, the arts, as well as economic and political relations.
Joint efforts in the construction of a new railway connecting the two countries via Afghanistan have also been discussed.
Berdymukhammedov called the talks with Rahmon "fruitful" and said bilateral ties are "developing," adding that regional issues, including the situation in neighboring Afghanistan, were also discussed.
Berdymukhammedov arrived in Dushanbe on his two-day official visit on May 5.
His previous visit to Tajikistan was in 2010.
