A member of the EU's customs assistance mission to Ukraine was beaten and robbed in Odesa early on December 17. The man, a German citizen, was taken to the hospital after the attack near the city's main train station. Two suspects have been arrested.
A poll taken in late November shows 42.3 percent of Ukrainians polled believe Ukraine has moved closer to joining the EU since President Poroshenko came to power in 2014 while 44.9 percent disagree with that statement, Interfax reports. The poll surveyed 2,015 people and was done by the Razumkov Center.
