Here's an update on how the shaky cease-fire has been holding up in eastern Ukraine:
Over the past day, one Ukrainian fighter has been killed in Donbas, according to Ukrainian military spokesman Andriy Lysenko. He said nobody else suffered wounds or injuries.
Lysenko added that the situation in the east of the country remains stable. Ukrainians have recorded five separatist violations of the cease-fire regime, but heavy weapons were not used.
In Luhansk Oblast, close to Krymske village, the separatists reportedly used grenade launchers for half an hour. In Donetsk Oblast fighting was only recorded close to the airport.
At the same time, the separatists from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic report that Ukraine violated the cease-fire eight times, while the "Luhansk People's Republic" says that Ukrainians fired only once.
Here's a nice story (including video) from Ukraine Today on a new "monument" in the eastern city of Zaporizhya that mocks Vladimir Putin.
