Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is due to meet with Russian President-elect, current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on March 20 to discuss economic and trade ties.
Yanukovych is visiting Russia to take part as an observer in a summit of Eurasian Economic Community (EEC) member-states in Moscow on March 19.
Participants in the meeting also include the presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, as well as the leaders of the observer countries –- Yanukovych and Armenian President Serzh Sargsian.
Moldova, which has also observer status, is represented by acting President Marian Lupu.
Yanukovych is expected to hold bilateral talks with the leaders of all member-states.
