27 February 2006 -- Foreign ministers from the European Union are set today to warn Serbia it must do more to cooperate with the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
Today's meeting in Brussels comes amid speculation that Bosnian-Serb military chief Ratko Mladic was recently arrested in Serbia.
Authorities in Belgrade say they have no knowledge of Mladic's whereabouts. But Brussels says Serbia is putting its EU membership aspirations at risk if it does not do more to deliver Mladic and other suspects to the war crimes tribunal.
EU ministers today will consider a report by EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn accusing Belgrade of failing to cooperate with The Hague.
A decision to endorse the report could mean a disruption in talks on Serbia's EU bid.
