Karzai To Meet Indian Prime Minister

Karzai (right) and Singh before a ceremonial reception in New Delhi on April 10 (epa) April 10, 2006 -- Afghanistan and India are to discuss boosting economic ties and regional growth when visiting President Hamid Karzai holds talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today.
Karzai arrived in New Delhi on April 9 on a three-day visit that officials said would focus on regional growth, fighting terrorism, and rebuilding war-scarred Afghanistan.

India is one of the top six donors to post-Taliban Afghanistan and has pledged $500 million in aid since 2002.
