LUKoil Aiming To Double Output In 10 Years

Vagit Alekperov, the head of LUKoil (right) (epa) June 5, 2006 -- Russia's LUKoil plans to double its production in the next 10 years.

That would boost its daily output to 4 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), a measure used for giving production figures that include both oil and natural gas.

LUKoil Vice President Leonid Fedun also said on June 5 that LUKoil also hopes to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It is already listed on the bourses in London and Moscow.
