Iran's Nuclear Negotiator To Visit China For Talks

Ali Larijani (file photo) (epa) January 3, 2007 -- Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, will travel to China on January 4 for talks with senior officials.

The trip comes following the adoption last month of a UN Security Council resolution imposing limited sanctions on Iran over its uranium-enrichment activities.

China, a permanent member of the Security Council with economic interests in Iran, has called for more talks over the nuclear crisis, saying that sanctions will not solve the problem.
