NATO Says Cyberattacks On Estonia Security Issue

NATO's de Hoop Scheffer (file photo) (epa) May 25, 2007 -- NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said today that a wave of cyberattacks against Estonian websites this month are a security issue that concerns NATO.
He told a meeting of lawmakers from NATO member states that the issue "will stay on the political agenda in the times to come."

NATO recently sent experts to Estonia to combat the attacks.

Estonia says the attacks came from Russia after Estonia's recent relocation of a monument to Soviet troops in Tallinn.
