Suicide Attack Kills Three In Southeastern Afghanistan

A suicide bomb attack at a bazaar in the southeastern Afghan province of Zabul today killed three people.

Mohammad Jan Rasoulyar, a spokesman for the Zabul Province governor, said the victims were a private security guard and two civilians.

Seven people were wounded by the attacker, who was on foot.

Meanwhile, fighting in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz Province and Pakistan's tribal region along the Afghan border is reported to have left at least 40 Taliban militants dead in the past two days.
