Up To 13 Afghans Dead In Roadside Bomb

Local officials say up to 13 people have been killed by a roadside bomb that struck a minibus in southern Afghanistan.

Mohammad Jaan Rasulyar, deputy provincial governor of Zabul said that the civilians -- including 11 members of the same family -- were killed while en route to Ghazni Province and are thought to be Afghan refugees returning from Pakistan.

The area where they were killed borders Pakistan, where militants who strike in Afghanistan are known to have hideouts.
