Baku has dismissed the Western criticism of Azerbaijan's recent presidential election, in which President Ilham Aliyev was reelected to a third term in office with a landslide victory.
The head of the presidential administration, Ali Hasanov, said criticism by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) was "biased" and entirely based on information provided by the opposition.
Hasanov said Baku "will have to reconsider" its future cooperation with the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, (ODIHR).
OHIDR has said the October 9 election was "seriously flawed," while the U.S. State Department said the polls fell short of international standards.
Hasanov said the U.S. criticism was "unacceptable."
According to official results, the candidate of the united opposition, Camil Hasanli, won around 5 percent of the vote.
