Opposition lawmakers staged a protest in Quetta, Pakistan, to demand the inclusion of development projects for their constituencies in the upcoming provincial annual budget. At the June 17 rally outside Balochistan's Provincial Assembly building, opposition members alleged that the provincial government was guilty of widespread corruption and had failed to hold a session to discuss the budget. The finance minister of Balochistan, Mir Zahoor Buledi, rejected the allegations, saying the upcoming budget does include development plans in the constituencies of opposition lawmakers and that previous budgets have done the same.
