Suicide Bomber Hits Memorial For Slain Afghan General, Killing At Least Four

The attack took place at an event to mourn General Daud Daud, who was assassinated last month.

At least four policemen have been killed after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside a mosque in the northern Afghan province of Konduz.

Police said 18 other people were also wounded in the attack, which took place in the provincial capital of Konduz on June 10.

The province's police chief, Samaiullah Qatra, and other officials, tribal elders, as well as local residents had gathered in the mosque to mourn a top Afghan police commander, General Daud Daud, who died in a massive bomb attack last month in neighboring Takhar Province.
