Kazan Residents Protest Over 'Nazarbaev Street'

The mayor of Kazan, the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan, apologized to protesters angered by the renaming of a street in honor of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev. But the mayor stopped short of offering to reverse the decision.
