U.S. President Donald Trump, who is vacationing at his golf resort in New Jersey, said to journalists on August 11 that he was considering military intervention as a response to the escalating crisis in Venezuela. "We have many options for Venezuela, including a possible military option, if necessary," he said after meeting with his foreign policy team, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. (AFP)
