Eight Killed In Moscow Explosion


31 August 2004 -- Russian emergency ministry officials say at least eight people were killed and 18 others injured when a car exploded near a subway station in northern Moscow today.

Russian news agencies say the explosion near the Rizhskaya metro station blew out windows in an entrance to the metro station.

The cause of the blast was not immediately known.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
