Georgian President Meeting Nazarbaev In Kazakhstan


President Nazarbaev (file photo) Astana, 31 March 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is in Kazakhstan on a state visit and will meet today with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev.

ITAR-TASS says talks will cover a range of topics from trade and business to the battle against terrorism and drug trafficking.

The two leaders are due to sign a series of accords, including a document on cooperation in the fight against terrorism, narcotics trafficking, and organized crime. Saakashvili leaves Kazakhstan later today.
