Russian Defense Executive Beaten, Robbed

29 June 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Attackers overnight beat and robbed the chief of Sukhoi, Russia's biggest aerospace firm.

Police say that a group of armed men broke into Mikhail Pogosyan's home near Moscow and robbed the house after tying up family members and beating Pogosyan.

Police say the criminals escaped. Pogosyan is reportedly in good health.

Sukhoi is Russia's largest warplane manufacturer and its top arms exporter.
