British, Russian Foreign Ministers To Meet In Moscow

U.K. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw (AFP) 9 November 2005 -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to hold talks today in Moscow with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Talks are expected to focus on EU-Russian relations. Britain currently holds the rotating EU Presidency.

Accompanying Straw to the Russian capital are EU foreign-policy chief Javier Solana and External Affairs Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

Iran and the Middle East are also likely to be on the agenda.


RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
