Post Of Bosnia's High Representative To Go

Christian Schwarz-Schilling (file photo) (official website) June 23, 2006 -- The international community's High Representative for Bosnia, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, announced today that his post will be phased out in June 2007.

The German diplomat said a final decision on whether the high representative's sweeping powers will revert to local authorities will be taken before then.
