An explosion in a central market killed six people and another bomb on a minibus killed two others.
In Taji, 20 kilometers north of Baghdad, 16 workers were kidnapped as they moved furniture into the Technology Research Center.
The U.S. military said today a roadside bomb exploded on June 24 south of Ba'qubah, killing one of its soldiers.
