British Journalist 'Unlawfully Killed' By U.S. Troops

U.S. soldiers pictured during the invasion of Iraq (CTK) October 13, 2006 -- An inquest in Britain into the death of war correspondent Terry Lloyd has determined that he was unlawfully killed by U.S. soldiers.

Coroner Andrew Walker said he would recommend that those responsible for Lloyd's death be brought before a British court.

A lawyer for Lloyd's family says those who killed Lloyd should be put on trial for a war crime.

Lloyd was killed in March 2003, during the first few days of the invasion of Iraq.
