Indonesia Willing To Send Troops To Iraq

Indonesian soldiers are serving in Lebanon with the UN (epa) November 22, 2006 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda today said that Indonesia would be willing to send peacekeepers to Iraq.

He said that Indonesia would also be willing to try to convince other Muslim nations to do the same.

The foreign minister's remarks come after President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono told visiting U.S. President George W. Bush earlier this week that a range of countries should be involved in finding long-term solutions for Iraq.
