Russia, China To Cooperate On Space Projects


A model of a Chinese rocket (file photo) (epa) December 27, 2006 -- Russia has said it would cooperate with China in robotic missions to the moon.


But Federal Space Agency chief Anatoly Perminov said on December 26 that Moscow would maintain restrictions on sharing technology.


Russian technology allowed China's manned space program to launched its first astronaut into orbit in 2003. Beijing now wants to send a robotic probe to the moon by 2010.
