Moscow, March 13 (RFE/RL) - Russian
Duma member and Presidential Candidate Aleksandr Lebed today proposed
setting up a special federal commission to track down money illegally
funneled out of Russia in the past few years.
Lebed told our correspondent in Moscow that he would like to head such a commission. He said that with Interpol's help, he could return to Moscow some 10,000 million dollars -- an amount equal to the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) recent loan to Russia.
Lebed also urged Russian businessmen to invest in Russian enterprises instead of illegally exporting capital and contributing to capital flight.
