Children At Work In Tajikistan

As countries on June 12 mark the World Day Against Child Labor, RFE/RL's Tajik Service provides evidence that underage labor remains a widespread problem. The Tajik government claims to have taken steps to send street children to school, but thousands of kids continue to work at Tajikistan's markets and in the cotton fields.
