Obama Says Russia Faces Costs Over Ukraine Intervention
U.S. President Barack Obama met with new Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the White House on March 12 to underline their joint opposition to a planned referendum in Crimea that could lead to the Ukrainian region's annexation by Russia. Obama said Moscow would face unspecified "costs" if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not respect Ukraine's sovereignty.
