Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, speaking at a news conference in Kyiv today:
"Direct military aggression from the Russian Federation is continuing in eastern Ukraine. Russians are continuing to send military equipment and mercenaries to Donbas."
"According to the latest information, Russian tanks entered [the village of Novosvitlivka in the Luhansk region] and destroyed virtually every house. Experts say that this is the Chechen style of the Russian army -- when they destroy every building if they suspect someone from the enemy's side is in that building."
