Here's the Facebook post -- in Ukrainian, by former Interior Minister and Poroshenko ally Yuriy Lutsenko -- that started it all.

The Kremlin says Poroshenko and Putin "continued [by telephone] a discussion of steps to facilitate the peaceful settlement of the situation in the southwest of Ukraine."
