Blaming "Donetsk People's Republic" fighters for today's shelling:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said Moscow "will seek truth and the punishment of those guilty of the killings of people, the bodies of whom were found in common graves near the city of Donetsk," according to TASS.
The bus-stop blast that killed eight people is near the school where the other deaths occurred during shelling today, according to Interfax, which quotes officials for the separatists:
"It has happened today. The explosion occurred precisely at a bus stop. A mini-bus was standing there at the moment. Eight people died in the explosion," the press center said.
Interfax quotes a "Donetsk People's Republic" leader, Aleksandr Zakharchenko, dismissing this week's suggestion by pro-Kyiv Donetsk regional administration head Serhiy Taruta that other land might be swapped in exchange for control of Donetsk airport, where heavy fighting has persisted.
"There will be no land swap [like that proposed by] Taruta," Zakharchenko reportedly said.
And then he went on to say, according to the Russian agency: "In two or at least three days we will take control of the Donetsk airport."
