Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has reportedly signed legislation on parliamentary procedure that appears to empower the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, or lower house, to dissolve parliamentary clubs that lose members.

Parliamentary speaker Oleksandr Turchynov vowed after its passage that he would "announce the dissolution of the Ukrainian Communist Party faction" once it got the presidential signature.
