From Destitute Refugees To Baron's Guests
In the summer of 2015, RFE/RL joined Syrian newlyweds Sayid and Amira (not their real names) on their arduous journey across the Balkans. They were among a group of Syrians seeking a future in Europe, sleeping in tents and carrying everything they owned on their backs. Four months later, they are houseguests of a German baron. But even bigger changes are soon to come... (Ray Furlong and Roman Kupka, RFE/RL)
