U.S. Senator Describes Scene Of Shooting In Virginia
A gunman opened fire on U.S. politicians and their staff as they played baseball in Virginia, near Washington., D.C., on June 14, wounding Congressman Steve Scalise and at least three other people. The shooter later died of a gunshot wound from police fire. VOA News spoke to a witness, Senator Jeff Flake, who had rushed to help Scalise in the midst of the shooting.
