Ailing U.S. Senator John McCain made an impassioned plea on Capitol Hill, urging his colleagues to reduce political partisanship and embrace compromise. Battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, McCain returned to Washington on July 25 to cast his ballot in a close vote that Republicans won, which opens debate on a bill to repeal Obamacare. He scolded Senate colleagues, telling them "we're getting nothing done." McCain urged them to begin cooperating and "stop listening to the bombastic loudmouths on the radio and on the television."
